Zion Piano Studio

Our Story

The Quesada Family at Christ Church Fort Worth.

God made us with an ability to play music. Jose Quesada was born in San José, Costa Rica. Won Yong Lee was born in Incheon, South Korea. José learned to play several instruments (especially piano) in Costa Rica and the United States. Won Yong learned to play the piano in Korea, Argentina, and the United States.

Both moved to Fort Worth in 2008 to continue their studies at Texas Christian University. At TCU, José audited a class of business for musicians. The class encouraged him to be an entrepreneur. The Zion project started as a concert series in Costa Rica and it continued as a home piano academy in Texas. Zion Piano Studio opened its doors in 2015 in a small apartment with one student and one piano. In 2017, the Quesada family (and the Studio) moved to the City of Benbrook.

We love teaching music because it allows us to connect with people. We pass knowledge and help students develop their musical abilities, but our mission goes beyond weekly piano lessons. We think of our students and families as our neighbors (Mark 12:31) and we do our best to love them and help them in the best way we can. Piano teachers can produce a positive impact in the life of their students. They can also build strong relationships that can last a lifetime.

Jeremiah 1:5 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: (KJV)

The Zion Piano Studio will be closed from Sunday, November 24th until Saturday, November 30th to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. Lessons will resume on Sunday, December 1st as scheduled. We want to wish all students and families a blessed Thanksgiving Break. We are thankful for allowing us to be your piano teachers. We are also thankful to everyone who supported the Turkey Drive project of Fort Worth Metro. Thanks to your support, Fort Worth Metro were able to achieve their goal of collecting and distributing 500 turkeys to families in need.

The Zion Piano Studio is a Christ-centered piano academy, founded and directed by Dr. José Pablo Quesada and Dr. Won Yong Lee, with main operations in the city of Benbrook, Texas. We offer private lessons in piano, music theory, and music history. Lessons are combined with performances and other events organized by the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association. We support the City of Benbrook through local organizations and our own ministry. We foster Christianity worldwide through Christ Church Fort Worth, Jews for Jesus, the Daystar Television Network, and the Assemblies of God World Missions.

2019 Summer Piano Lessons

Monday, June 3, 2019 by Jose Quesada | Zion Piano Studio

Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.

(Luke 6:40, NLT)

Our regular Summer Session is underway, but we still have spaces available for new students. From June 2 to August 10, students can take weekly or biweekly lessons of various lengths (30, 45, or 60 minutes). Lessons can be taken in our Studio, at your home, or online. We are also offering a brand new Summer Piano Camp in July for students who want to explore piano lessons. All lessons are private and no previous experience is required. Students don't have to own a piano to try the Summer Camps! Please contact us at 817-372-6883 or at info@zionpianostudio.com for more information.
